Coupons
Create one-time discount codes and promotions that customers can redeem at checkout.
Coupons are single-use discount codes that customers receive and scan at checkout. Unlike rewards (which require points), coupons are distributed as promotions and can be scanned directly by the cashier.
Creating a coupon
Click New Coupon and fill in:

|---|---|
| Name | Internal name for the promotion (visible in the dashboard, not to customers). |
| Discount type | Fixed amount or percentage discount. |
| Discount value | The amount or percentage to deduct. |
| Max uses | How many times this coupon can be redeemed in total. |
| Per customer limit | How many times a single customer can use this coupon. |
| Active dates | Optional start and expiry date for the promotion. |
How coupons work at checkout
- The customer presents their coupon (via QR code in the app or a printed code).
- The cashier taps Redeem Coupon in the Xtarly Cashier app and scans the code.
- The system validates the coupon and marks it as used.
- The cashier applies the discount manually at the POS.
Xtarly validates the coupon but does not integrate directly with your POS system. The cashier must apply the discount manually.
