Notifications

Send push notifications to your customers' mobile app, with scheduling and tier targeting.

The Notifications section lets you send push notifications to customers who have your mobile app installed — announcements, offers and reminders that land on their phone.

Notifications is an admin-only section, and push notifications require a plan that includes a mobile app (Shared, Branded, Premium). The Wallet plan doesn't include push.

Sending a notification

Write a title and a body (up to 100 and 500 characters). On the Shared plan the title is fixed to your business name.
Optionally set targeting and scheduling (see below).
Click Send (or Schedule). For security, you confirm with your account password before it goes out.

Targeting and scheduling

  • Schedule — turn on "Scheduled for" to pick a future date and time instead of sending now.
  • Audience (Tier programs) — send to all customers, or to a specific tier and above.
  • Target app (Branded and above) — send to both apps, only the Xtarly Rewards app, or only your branded app.

History and customer preferences

The screen keeps a history of what you've sent, with each notification's type and recipient count. Beyond the custom notifications you send here, Xtarly also sends automatic ones (points earned, new reward, new coupon, tier up, expiring coupon, and more). Customers control which automatic notifications they receive from their profile in the app.

Custom notifications go to all eligible active customers with the app installed. Send with intent — frequent or off-topic pushes lead to uninstalls.
