Email Campaigns

Send email campaigns to your customer base using your own Resend account, with ready-made templates and personalized variables.

The Email Campaigns section lets you reach your customers by email — welcome messages, birthday gifts, win-back offers and promotions — using templates that adapt to your loyalty program.

Email Campaigns is an admin-only section. You need the owner or admin role to manage it.

Connect your Resend account

Xtarly sends campaigns through your own Resend account (bring-your-own), so your emails come from your verified domain. Open the Connection tab and provide:

Resend API key — starts with re_. It's validated against Resend and stored encrypted; only the last 4 characters are shown afterward.
Sender email — the address campaigns are sent from (e.g. promos@yourbusiness.com).
Sender name — the display name recipients see (e.g. your business name).

After connecting, the Domains list shows your Resend domains. You need at least one verified domain before you can send.

Webhook (optional but recommended)

So delivery metrics (sent, delivered, opens, clicks, bounces, complaints) flow back into Xtarly, the connection panel shows a webhook URL to add in Resend and a signing secret field. The secret is stored encrypted and never shown again — paste a new one only if you want to replace it.

Templates

Every organization starts with 5 base templates you can edit or duplicate:

Special promotion	Announce a limited-time offer.

Personalized variables

Insert variables that are filled in per customer at send time. The available set depends on your program type:

Images and live preview

From Images and logo you can upload an image (PNG, JPG, WEBP or GIF, up to 5 MB) and it's inserted into the email, or insert your organization logo with one click. The live preview on the right renders the email with sample data and updates as you type.

Create and send a campaign

Click New campaign (enabled once your Resend account is connected).

Give it an internal name, pick a template and confirm the sender.

Optionally narrow the audience — only active customers, marketing opt-in only, minimum points, or inactive for X days — and click Calculate recipients to see the count.

Choose Send now to queue it immediately, or Schedule to pick a future date and time.

Customers who unsubscribed or are on the suppression list are always excluded. You can only edit a campaign while it's a draft; scheduled or sending campaigns can be cancelled.
